Our Mission
For The Love Of Alex Inc. provides emergency funding for life-saving veterinary care of low-income families.
Wawa The Cat
This poor little kitty was maimed and desperately needs our help! Wawaβs mom took in an unaltered female kitty from a friend. She is low-income and could not afford to get Wawa spayed right away. Last month, she obtained a spay/neuter voucher from her local humane society, and Wawa was fixed.
Smokey The Cat
Smokey, an abandoned Oregon kitty, was rescued by his forever dad after being viciously attacked by a raccoon. Smokey had some open wounds that were infected and was treated by a veterinarian who also diagnosed him with an eye condition called Entropion. This condition causes his eyelids to turn inwards, irritating the cornea, and can lead to blindness if left untreated.
Gilmour The Cat

Fortune The Cat

Little Gordon, the Kentucky pup, suddenly stopped eating and has been throwing up for three days. His mom noticed he wasnβt his usual spunky self and took him to the veterinary clinic. Diagnostic x-rays showed Gordon has a foreign object in his small intestines that has caused a blockage. Gordon needs surgery ASAP!
Socks The Cat
Socks, the beautiful Oregon kitty, is not feeling well; sheβs lethargic, and her dad recently noticed she wasnβt using the litter box as often as she should. And when Socks does urinate, it smells terrible and is brown in color.
Umusa The Cat
Handsome Umusa, the New York kitty, is extremely itchy; he constantly scratches himself. Umusa has lost the hair on the back of his ears and has scabs on his head and body. His veterinarian diagnosed him with allergic dermatitis, which is robbing him of his beautiful fur.
Mochi The Cat
Mochi, a sweet Texas kitty, has a painful polyp growing in her ear canal, causing recurring ear infections. Mochiβs veterinarian can remove the polyp; however, there is no guarantee that it will not grow back. Mochiβs veterinarian has recommended Ventral Bulla Osteotomy surgery, an invasive procedure to ensure the polyp doesnβt grow back.
Max The Dog
URGENT! A freakish accident has left this little Lancaster, Pennsylvania, pup with a broken front leg. Max was zooming around the house, jumping on and off the couch, when suddenly he fell and landed awkwardly. His mom heard him yelp in pain and found Max holding his leg up.

Onyx The Cat
Onyx, a beautiful New York kitty, needed medical care immediately! Onyx was extremely lethargic and wasnβt eating and drinking. Onyxβs mom contacted us and asked if we could help. We used funds from the Emergency Fund to get Onyx to a veterinary clinic.
