The Emergency Fund helped a young Ohio kitty with a life-saving surgery in April. Gizmo was experiencing pain, he was violently vomiting and wasn’t urinating. His mom rushed him to the Emergency hospital and the exam revealed he had a deadly blockage from urinary crystals that became logged in his urethra.

The Emergency Fund recently helped a young cat from Pennsylvania. Tommy had escaped outside for just a few minutes; upon his return, he was dragging his hind leg. Though there were no visible wounds, his mom said he was shaken up like something traumatic happened and he was crying out in pain when he walked.

The Emergency Fund helped Nala a 12-year-old kitty from Connecticut earlier this year. Nala wasn’t doing well; she was barely eating, losing weight, frequenting the litter box often and her eyes were crusty. Nala had not been grooming herself properly and her mom was extremely worried about her sweet girl.

Sweet little Lilly was walking along a trail when she was viciously attacked by three stray dogs. She sustained multiple puncture wounds on her neck, head, and back. Although her mom has been cleaning the wounds, they have become infected, and it is apparent that Lilly needs veterinary intervention.

Echo was recently adopted from a rescue organization. Echo appeared to be a healthy 9-month-old female kitten. She had been spayed and was up to date on her vaccinations. However; recently her mom noticed Echo licking her side and found a sticky substance on Echo’s beautiful orange coat and when she cleaned the area her fur fell out. Upon further examination, Echo’s mom found a hole in Echo’s side.

Otto has been diagnosed with Gingival hyperplasia a condition caused by excessive growth or thickening of the gum tissue.
