Miracle The Cat
We received some heartbreaking news over the weekend. Miracle, a kitty we helped in 2018, passed away from last-stage kidney disease at the tender age of 11 years old. Miracle lived up to his name; he was rescued from the streets after someone threw a corrosive substance in his face. Miracle sustained horrific life-threatening injuries.
PRAYERS FOR BELLA MAE & HER FAMILY π
We met Bella Mae, a beautiful tuxedo from Maine, in October. Bella Mae was diagnosed with a mammary tumor. Mammary tumors are most common in older, intact female cats but can also affect spayed females like Bella Mae. Sadly, the cancer has spread to her lungsβ¦
Bud The Cat
Bud is having Emergency surgery today! Last night, we received an application from an elderly lady in Iowa whose orange furbaby, Bud snuck outside and was viciously attacked 3 days ago!
Charlie The Dog
We helped Charlie back in February with a tumor removal and dental cleaning. Charlie was diagnosed with Epulis Masses; which can be benign or malignant, however even a benign epulis can cause a lot of trouble. This type of tumor can be βlocally invasive,β which means that it can grow into the jaw bone and literally eat the bone away.
Tinkerbell The Cat
Tinkerbell is experiencing significant pain due to a polyp growing in her ear canal. The polyp has enlarged to the point where it is leading to sinus drainage and swelling in her eye. Currently, Tinkerbell is undergoing monthly steroid injections to alleviate the pain and swelling, but her overall quality of life is deteriorating. The most effective course of relief is to surgically remove the polyp.
Bitty The Cat
Unfortunately, not all stories have a happy ending. Little Bittyβs elderly parents contacted us last week; their 12-year-old kitty wasnβt doing well. Bitty was having trouble breathing, and she started flopping around on the floor, terrifying her parents. Due to the urgency of Bittyβs declining condition, we used funds from the Emergency Fund to get her into a Veterinary hospital ASAP!
Magick The Cat
This handsome boy Magick, is going through a tough time battling a severe upper respiratory infection that seems to linger despite three rounds of antibiotics he has received. The poor kitty is congested and has lost his appetite, making it clear that he needs additional medications to combat this stubborn virus.
Pete The Cat
Poor boy Pete, a 14-year-old senior kitty, is struggling. He has an abscessed tooth that is affecting his eating habits, causing weight loss, and preventing proper grooming. Peteβs cheek is swollen due to the infected tooth, and heβs not the same cuddle bug he once was.
Precious NY The Cat
Precious, the Rochester, NY kitty, had a mass suddenly appear on her chin; she was eating well, and it did not seem to bother her. However, the lump grew rapidly over just a few weeks, and her dad was worried.
Bella The Cat
Little Bella, the Pennsylvania kitty, was drooling; her mom took her to the veterinary clinic, and upon examination, Bellaβs veterinarian suspected she had an abscessed tooth. Dental surgery was estimated at $689.00.
Sammy The Cat
We have some sad news to share. πΏ
We were recently contacted by an elderly gentleman from Minnesota. His 23-year-old kitty, Sammy, was not doing good. She was urinating blood, not eating, and had lost a lot of weight. Sammy's dad knew it was time to say goodbye to his sweet girl.
Bernadette The Cat
We have a sad story to share. Bernadette, the West Virginia kitty, was abandoned when her owners moved. A kind animal lover saw her outside in the cold; she was starving. He began feeding her to gain her trust and gave her a loving and safe home.
Loki The Cat π±
Loki is not feeling well; this beautiful girl has been very lethargic, vomiting and frequenting the litter box. Her elderly mom is worried about her precious girl and asked if we could help with a veterinary exam, bloodwork, and urinalysis.
Maddie The Dog
Little Maddie is sick; she has been vomiting and has explosive bloody diarrhea. Maddie has been diagnosed with Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis, she is anemic and severely dehydrated, and if left untreated, Maddie will die.
Garfield The Cat
Garfield, the Kentucky kitty, needs surgery to remove a tumor from his Parathyroid gland that is causing early onset kidney disease, lack of appetite, lethargy, and vomiting. Without surgery, Garfield will succumb to kidney disease.
Precious The Cat
Precious, the Colorado kitty, was found lying on the side of the road with a broken pelvis. A loving family rescued Precious, and she fully recovered from her injury; however, this tiny baby is missing a part of the roof of her mouth!
Moxie The Cat
Moxie, the eight-month-old kitten, is mysteriously going blind in the last month. His dad has exhausted all of his financial resources to help save Moxieβs sight, and now he has been referred to a veterinary ophthalmologist specialist.
Luna The Dog
This big, beautiful girl is sick. Luna has lost almost 30lbs in just a few months and she started eating pea gravel. She is not eating and is very lethargic. Her veterinarian suspects she has a blockage and possible autoimmune disease.
Alex Miley The Cat
Alex is very sick! This sweet boy was rescued from an unsafe environment, Alex found his forever home and has been living the good life ever since. Alexβs stomach is swollen, he chokes in his sleep and he is having runny bowel movements
