We were recently contacted by an elderly gentleman from Minnesota. His 23-year-old kitty, Sammy, was not doing good. She was urinating blood, not eating, and had lost a lot of weight. Sammy's dad knew it was time to say goodbye to his sweet girl.

We have some sad news to share. πΏ
We were recently contacted by an elderly gentleman from Minnesota. His 23-year-old kitty, Sammy, was not doing good. She was urinating blood, not eating, and had lost a lot of weight. Sammy's dad knew it was time to say goodbye to his sweet girl. He had called around to local veterinary clinics, and to lay Sammy to rest would cost approximately $200.00.
Sammy's dad barely survives on a small fixed income and asked us if we could help. We used the Emergency Fund to help Sammy and her dad. Sammy passed peacefully over the rainbow bridge on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.
Sammy's dad is heartbroken; he lost his fur friend of 23 years but felt comfort in knowing she did not suffer and that he was with her until the end.
