MIRACLE LOST HIS BRAVE BATTLE WITH KIDNEY DISEASE.
We received some heartbreaking news over the weekend. Miracle, a kitty we helped in 2018, passed away from last-stage kidney disease at the tender age of 11 years old. Miracle lived up to his name; he was rescued from the streets after someone threw a corrosive substance in his face. Miracle sustained horrific life-threatening injuries.
But Miracle was truly a miracle! His face, neck, and back were severely burned, and he endured months of treatments, but Miracle overcame all odds and made a full recovery!
Recently, Miracle was drinking more and urinating more than usual. Bloodwork revealed that Miracle was in late-stage kidney disease. He was hospitalized and treated with IV fluids and medications. Miracleβs kidney values were improving, and his parents visited every day. Sadly, on Sunday, Miracle had a seizure and suddenly passed over the rainbow bridge. π
Miracleβs parents had exhausted all of their financial resources to get Miracle his supportive medical care. We helped with the arrangements and used funds from the Emergency Fund, so that they could have a meaningful memorial.
Each time we lose an FTLOA furbaby, we feel like it is one of our own. Miracle was given a second chance at life in 2018, because of the kind and generous donors who helped, and Miracle lived the rest of his life happy and very much loved. Rest in peace, sweet boy.
Please keep Miracleβs parents in your thoughts and prayers. This loss was extremely hard.
