Loki The Cat
Handsome Loki is hospitalized with a deadly urinary blockage; he currently has a urinary catheter and he is being administered Intravenous fluids to help flush the crystals out of his bladder and urethra.
Ava The Cat
This beautiful furbaby has been struggling with a chronic disease for years. Ava is only eight years old and was diagnosed with Idiopathic Megacolon, a painful condition that causes her colon to enlarge and become severely constipated.
T-Rex The Cat
T-Rex, a handsome tuxedo kitty from Minnesota, has been battling a stubborn bladder stone for several months. Despite medications and following a prescription diet designed to dissolve bladder stones, T-Rex stone has grown, causing him discomfort, and it puts him at a higher risk for a life-threatening urethral obstruction.
Bitty The Cat
Unfortunately, not all stories have a happy ending. Little Bitty’s elderly parents contacted us last week; their 12-year-old kitty wasn’t doing well. Bitty was having trouble breathing, and she started flopping around on the floor, terrifying her parents. Due to the urgency of Bitty’s declining condition, we used funds from the Emergency Fund to get her into a Veterinary hospital ASAP!
Nugget The Dog
Nugget, a little pup from North Carolina, suffered a serious injury while out for a walk with her mom and furry companion. Without warning, Nugget leaped off the curb and into the path of an oncoming car. The car accidentally clipped Nugget's leg, causing her to yelp in pain. Her mom quickly pulled her back onto the sidewalk, but Nugget had sustained a significant injury to her leg.
Cloud The Cat
Cloud was born in a garage; his mom was a feral kitty who disappeared shortly after giving birth. Cloud entered the world with a twisted leg and quickly developed an eye infection, leaving him weak and struggling to survive. Fortunately, a compassionate animal lover welcomed Cloud and his siblings into her home, and they all thrived.
Umusa The Cat
DO YOU REMEMBER UMUSA, THE NEW YORK KITTY? 🐈⬛
We helped Umusa last year with his allergies; he had lost hair on the back of his ears, had scabs on his head and body from scratching himself, and was losing his whiskers. We helped pay for an exam, and Umusa was treated by his veterinarian with allergy medications; however, the medicines did little to relieve his itchiness.
Mano The Cat
A freakish accident has left this little kitten with a fractured hip. Full of kitten energy, Mano was zooming around the house when his dad noticed him suddenly start limping. The following day, Mano continued to avoid putting weight on his right back leg. His dad rushed him to a local low-cost animal clinic where x-rays confirmed that his hip is fractured and needs to be surgically repaired.
Jersey The Cat
Jersey, a 10-year-old Vermont kitty, is in excellent health overall, except for some bad teeth that need extracting. His elderly parents, living on social security and disability benefits, cannot afford the estimated cost of the surgery, ranging from $1,100.87 to $1,544.56 depending on the number of teeth needing extraction.
Asher The Cat
Asher is an 8-year-old kitty from Iowa; he was recently diagnosed with Traumatic avulsion to the upper and lower right molars. This means that his teeth have become completely displaced from their bony socket. The two molars need to be removed as soon as possible to prevent his gums from becoming infected.
Gerty The Cat
Gerty was a stray; for unknown circumstances, this sweetheart was on the streets fending for herself. Luckily, a kind animal lover took Gerty in. Gerty was very friendly and must have been someone's pet at one time. Recently, Gerty’s mom noticed that she was frequenting the litter box often.
Plato The Cat
Meet Plato, a gorgeous Florida kitty who loves nothing more than a warm cuddle and a sunny windowsill. Lately, however, Plato hasn't been himself. A painful condition called stomatitis has made it difficult for him to eat, causing a foul odor in his mouth and leaving him feeling miserable.
Hunter Cole The Dog
Hunter Cole is a beloved family member and service animal to a Veteran amputee. Unfortunately, Hunter has developed a Mass Cell tumor on his tail, and his veterinarian recommends amputating the tail to ensure that the cancer does not spread.
Magick The Cat
This handsome boy Magick, is going through a tough time battling a severe upper respiratory infection that seems to linger despite three rounds of antibiotics he has received. The poor kitty is congested and has lost his appetite, making it clear that he needs additional medications to combat this stubborn virus.
Muffin The Cat
Beautiful Muffin, a beloved furry companion, has faced a series of health challenges recently, including recurring urinary tract infections despite being on a prescribed urinary diet. The distressing symptoms of peeing blood and severe constipation have resurfaced, prompting the need for another round of antibiotics and stool softeners to alleviate her discomfort.
Samson The Cat
THE EMERGENCY FUND RECENTLY HELPED SAMSON AND HIS FAMILY! Samson's elderly parents contacted us recently to see if we could help with the cost of Samson's annual checkup and bloodwork. Samson has an overactive thyroid, but with daily medication, his condition is under control.
Mitzi The Cat
Mitzi, a beloved Maine kitty, is facing a serious health challenge with a partially blocked urethra. Despite being on a prescribed urinary diet, Mitzi continues to struggle with struvite crystals in his urine. Mitzi receives medications to ease his discomfort, but the situation is worsening as urination becomes increasingly difficult for him.
Ben The Cat
Ben was adopted from a rescue organization as a kitten and has a loving home with his furbrothers. Recently, his furry friends noticed something wrong with Ben and began licking his back. His mom discovered a cyst and saw that it was bleeding.
Charlie The Dog
This heartwarming story of Charlie, the sweet little pup from Missouri, tugs at our heartstrings and highlights the importance of proper dental care for our furry friends. Charlie's broken tooth not only causes him pain but also puts him at risk of serious complications.
