We received some heartbreaking news over the weekend. Miracle, a kitty we helped in 2018, passed away from last-stage kidney disease at the tender age of 11 years old. Miracle lived up to his name; he was rescued from the streets after someone threw a corrosive substance in his face. Miracle sustained horrific life-threatening injuries.

The Emergency Fund recently helped this sweet 10-week old Ohio kitten who was extremely sick. Kitten (now named Oaklea) had explosive diarrhea, she was crying out in pain and her condition deteriorated rapidly overnight. She was barely moving and had not eaten or drunk anything in 48 hours…

Tinkerbell is experiencing significant pain due to a polyp growing in her ear canal. The polyp has enlarged to the point where it is leading to sinus drainage and swelling in her eye. Currently, Tinkerbell is undergoing monthly steroid injections to alleviate the pain and swelling, but her overall quality of life is deteriorating. The most effective course of relief is to surgically remove the polyp.

Cloud was born in a garage; his mom was a feral kitty who disappeared shortly after giving birth. Cloud entered the world with a twisted leg and quickly developed an eye infection, leaving him weak and struggling to survive. Fortunately, a compassionate animal lover welcomed Cloud and his siblings into her home, and they all thrived.

Jax needs surgery ASAP! Jax, the Ohip pup, has a vast tumor pushing on his rib cage. X-rays were taken, and the mass has been aspirated and is not cancerous; however, Jax sleeps on his back because he is extremely uncomfortable.

Sis, the Ohio kitten, was born with three legs and an abdominal hernia. The hernia is getting bigger, and she needs surgery to repair it. Usually, cat hernias aren’t serious; however, left untreated, they could become fatal!

Baby Winnie and his siblings were abandoned by their mother. Winnie’s siblings were found dead, but miraculously Winnie was still alive. He was in terrible shape, crusty mucus covered his little nose and eyes, and he was very frail.

Gizmo, the handsome Ohio kitty, needs corrective surgery for a severe Patellar Hyperplasia condition that has progressed with age. Without surgery, Gizmo will live in pain, and his mobility will be severely affected.

Olivia Grace has been battling a debilitating oral disease for two years; this beautiful tabby has Stomatitis, a condition that causes painful infections in her mouth, and her jaw swells to where she cannot eat properly.

Sweet Sissy has a golf ball size stone in her bladder, she is going to the litter box constantly and she is urinating blood. This sweet girl is in a lot of pain and needs surgery to remove the stone ASAP!

Baby Bakugo is sick, he isn’t eating, drinking or going to the bathroom and has been throwing up white phlegm for over 24 hours straight. He is showing signs of pain around his abdomen and is very lethargic.

Mr. Miyagi has been suffering from Stomatitis which causes severe inflammation lesions in his mouth. This disease has caused him oral discomfort and pain, loss of appetite, hair loss, drooling, weight loss and bad breath!
