Story
Sabiya, the Colorado kitty, has had a few rough months; 6 months ago, she was diagnosed with diabetes and has been managing her diabetes with insulin and a special diet. Recently, she had a UTI and was doing well, but this beautiful girl is now battling painful Pancreatitis. πΏ
Sabiya was responding to treatment for pancreatitis; however, her elderly mom did not have enough money to continue her hospitalization. Sabiya was discharged on Friday on a βtrial run,β but it is apparent that she needs to return for additional medical care. Sabiya has lost a lot of weight; she barely eats, has a slight fever, and drinks lots of water. Sabiyaβs last overnight hospitalization cost her mom $646.00, which left her with just $10 in her bank account until she received her social security benefits.
Sabiyaβs 4-legged mother abandoned her; she was a young cat who wasnβt ready to be a momma. Luckily, another kitty had just given birth and took Sabiya in like she was one of her own. Sabiya and her fur brother Kefira were adopted as kittens and had a loving and happy home. Her mom said, "she is such a gentle, loving, and playful cat. Her favorite toys are three marshmallow mice in a flannel cup; she loves pulling them out and batting them all over the house." π»
Sabiya is only ten years old; however, diabetes and UTI have complicated her recovery from Pancreatitis, and she needs additional hospitalization to recover fully. Her mom said, βI do not know what to do, she needs help, and I donβt have the money right now.β Please, help with Sabiya's much-needed medical care.
