Speedy Jr, a 5-month-old kitten from Minnesota, has been suffering from chronic eye infections in his right eye. Speedy Jr. has been treated numerous times with anti-inflammatory and antibiotic ophthalmic drops however, nothing has relieved his symptoms.

Something is wrong with Speedy Jr’s eye!
Speedy Jr, a 5-month-old kitten from Minnesota, has been suffering from chronic eye infections in his right eye. Speedy Jr. has been treated numerous times with anti-inflammatory and antibiotic ophthalmic drops however, nothing has relieved his symptoms.
Speedy Jr. was referred to a veterinary ophthalmologist; upon examination, it was determined that Speedy Jr had lost his vision due to optic pressure and recommended enucleation surgery to remove his eye as it could rupture! Speedy’s family has spent over $700.00 so far on Speedy’s medical care; the surgery has been estimated at $1,475.00, which includes neutering him seeing as he will already be under anesthesia.
Speedy Jr’s family is going through some hard times. Speedy Jr’s dad recently hurt his back and is waiting for disability benefits; the family is barely making it by on one small income and is past due on their bills. They can not afford Speedy Jr’s surgery cost right now.
We need to get this little kitten into surgery ASAP!

We raised the funds for Speedy Jr’s urgent surgery in just 2 days! Speedy Jr had surgery to remove his diseased eye and is home recovering well. Speedy Jr will have a check-up and suture removal 10-14 days post op.
Thank you to everyone who donated to help this little guy. Because of you, Speedy Jr is no longer in pain and can enjoy being a happy, feisty kitten again! 😸
