Story

Nala, a beautiful floof ball from Iowa, has a tumor growing in her front right paw pad. Nala’s mom took her for an exam, and she was given antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications. However, the growth is getting larger, causing her to not bear any weight on her foot, and smells awful!

Nala’s mom took her for a second opinion, and the veterinarian suspected the growth is a Digital Squamous Cell Carcinoma. This type of carcinoma is slow-moving and is typically caught before it has had a chance to spread. To ensure the cancer is removed completely, her veterinarian recommends amputating Nala’s leg. However, surgery has been estimated to cost $1,452.11, and her mom, living on permanent disability, can not afford it.

Nala has been with her furever mom since 2015. She said, β€œShe's my companion, and she helps me cope with life’s challenges. I'll be lost without her. I hate to see her in pain; my heart is absolutely breaking. She eats and potties in her litter box. She is trying so hard to live. Please help us.”

At just 11 years old, Nala has many good years left supporting her furever mom, and this surgery will ensure she will be cancer-free! Please help this beautiful floof-ball get the medical care she desperately needs.
