The EMERGENCY FUND is currently helping this poor kitty, Rambo. π
Rambo was found wandering around an apartment complex; a kind animal lover noticed his face looked swollen and he could not close his mouth. Rambo was super friendly, and she took him home. Upon closer examination, she could see Rambo was in dire shape.
Ramboβs rescuer immediately took him to an emergency animal hospital; an examination revealed Ramboβs tongue was lacerated, many of his teeth were broken or fractured, and his jaw could be broken. π
However, his rescuer could not afford the x-rays the veterinarian recommended. She used some of her rent money for the $300.00 veterinary bill, but surgery has been estimated starting at $2,500.00, and if Ramboβs jaw is broken, it could be over $4,000.00. Rambo was sent home with antibiotics and pain medication.
His rescuer and now furever mom has 3 kitties of her own; she opened her home and heart to save this sweet boy. She said, βI have exhausted all my means. I've been rejected by Care Credit also. I'm desperately seeking help with pet funds. Without the kindness of your organization, Rambosβs outlook is grim. My heart breaks; I spend all day making sure heβs comfortable, eating, drinking, and using the litter box. Throughout all this and what has happened to him, he is the sweetest, loving, playful, great cat. I know that without support from somewhere, I either have to find a new home, which is going to be impossible, or come to terms with letting him be at peace. I canβt bear to think of that. We've been through a lot in just 8 days, Rambo, and I would be forever grateful for any assistance possible. I canβt give up on him; please help him.β
We had to help this poor furbaby. We are using funds from the Emergency Fund, and Rambo is currently being evaluated for surgery. We will have an update soon!

RAMBO UPDATE!
We paid for X-rays, and luckily, Rambo's jaw was not broken, but he needs most of his teeth extracted. We are paying for Rambo's surgery tomorrow from funds in our Emergency Fund.π The cost has been estimated between $2,000.35 and $2,362.35.
