Moon, the New Jersey kitty, has eaten something he shouldn’t have, and now he has an abdominal blockage and needs surgery ASAP! His mom has already spent $1000 on bloodwork, barium series, and x-rays; surgery is estimated to be over $5000.00 if there are no complications.
Moon’s mom is low-income; she never dreamed that her sweet boy would eat something he shouldn’t have and need emergency surgery. Moon’s mom is devastated; she has borrowed money to help with the diagnosis and has applied for help from care credit and scratch pay. However, she has only been granted a small portion of the surgery cost because of her low income. We are her last hope of saving her precious boy.
This is an emergency that cannot wait. An intestinal blockage can cause open sores, a tear in the GI tract, pain, and infection. Sepsis can quickly become fatal in some severe cases. Without surgery, Moon will not survive.
