Story
Tiny Matilda, the Texas pup, was found wandering in the middle of a busy street; she was malnourished and neglected. Matilda was not microchipped and did not have a collar. Her rescuer tried to find the owner, but no one came forward to claim this sweet little pup. Matilda’s rescuer and now forever mom has given her a loving home for a year.
Matilda’s mom is 78 years old and lives on a fixed income. Matilda’s mom can provide daily necessities and preventative care; however, she cannot afford Matilda’s surgery cost.
Matilda has a painful tumor on the base of her spine; her veterinarian tested it, and it is not cancerous. However, the lump is getting bigger, and her vet is worried that it could get so big that it would affect her mobility. Matilda also needs a dental cleaning; her teeth are in bad shape, and she may need some teeth extracted. To remove the tumor and dental cleaning has been estimated to be around $800-$1000, which does not include any dental extractions her veterinarian may recommend.
