Story
Mariam, a beautiful 10-year-old kitty from northern California, was diagnosed with Stomatitis. Stomatitis causes severe inflammation in the mouth and affects the gums, lips, tongue, as well as the roof and floor of a cat’s mouth. Stomatitis is painful and debilitating.
Mariam has been treated for three months with steroids to ease her pain and antibiotics to combat her persistent oral infections. Due to the severity of Mariam’s condition, her veterinarian recommends full-mouth tooth extraction surgery. The surgery is estimated to cost between $1,289.99 and $1,482.99; however, Mariam’s 74-year-old mom is retired, and her only source of income is a modest monthly social security benefit.
Mariam’s beautiful fur is falling out due to over-grooming, a sign of stress or pain, compounded by a lack of nutrition; she has lost four pounds in just a few months! Mariam’s mom adopted her when she was two months old and is devastated watching Mariam suffer like this.
Please help relieve Mariam from the pain of this horrible condition. Mariam has been suffering for far too long, and it has taken a toll on her physical and emotional well-being. Together, we can make a difference in Mariam's life!
