Frankie, a beloved Minnesota furbaby was viciously attacked by a neighboring dog that had strayed and was seriously injured. Frankie enjoys going out for leashed walks with his mom in the back yard feeling the grass beneath his toes and watching the birds and butterflies, a sudden and unexpected turn of events has left him seriously injured.
Luckily, his mom’s swift action undoubtedly saved his life! She managed to intervene and get the attacking dog off Frankie. He had multiple bite wounds on his body and legs; his mom rushed him to the Emergency Veterinary Hospital. Frankie’s mom paid almost $500 for the Emergency room visit; which included the exam, x-rays, pain medication, antibiotics, and bandage however; Frankie has a fractured radius and ulna that need to be surgically repaired.
The surgery to save Frankie’s leg has been estimated between $3,914.11-4,036.88. His mom depleted her bank account and what she could get approved for on care credit which has caused a serious financial strain. Despite mom’s efforts, the dog’s owner could not be found.
