Story
Handsome Leo, the Minnesota kitten, was doing zoomies and jumped off the kitchen countertop and landed awkwardly. His mom rushed him to the veterinary hospital, and x-rays confirmed that his tibia is fractured. Leo needs surgery ASAP!
Though he did not fall far, Leoβs bones are not mature yet due to his age. A cat's Skeletal maturation is around 18 months of age.
Surgery has been estimated to be between $3,302.04 - $3,816.62; Leoβs elderly mom is on disability and cannot afford Leoβs surgery. Leo is currently on pain medications and is confined to a dog crate so as not to cause further damage to his broken leg.
Leoβs mom is heartbroken that she cannot help her handsome furbaby. Leo was given to his forever mom as a young kitten after she lost someone very close to her. Leo brings his mom companionship and joy, and she said Leo makes her laugh every day with his shenanigans.
