Toasty The Dog and Gomez The Cat

Gomez and Toasty both need urgent veterinary care. Gomez has been diagnosed with a painful condition called Entropion that causes his top eyelids to grown inward, leading to a cornea ulcer in his left eye.
Toasty has a tumor growing on the back of his right wrist. This tumor is causing him to limp and it is painful to the touch. His mom took him to the Humane Society clinic, where they recommended surgically removing the tumor.

The Emergency Fund plays a crucial role in providing a safety net for pets needing urgent and life-saving veterinary care. Throughout the year, the Emergency fund has been instrumental in ensuring that pets like Gizmo, Tommy, Loki, Prescott, Nala, Charlie the dog, Samson, and Sergio received the medical care they desperately needed. Their urgent veterinary care was 100% funded by the Emergency Fund. π

Unfortunately, not all stories have a happy ending. Little Bittyβs elderly parents contacted us last week; their 12-year-old kitty wasnβt doing well. Bitty was having trouble breathing, and she started flopping around on the floor, terrifying her parents. Due to the urgency of Bittyβs declining condition, we used funds from the Emergency Fund to get her into a Veterinary hospital ASAP!

It is unfortunate that thousands of pets go missing each year and are never reunited with their families due to a lack of identification. πΏ
July 4th celebrations are just a few months away. Did you know that more dogs and cats go missing on July 4th than any other day due to the sights and sounds of fireworks?
