DO YOU REMEMBER OLIVIA, THE SICK GEORGIA KITTY? ❤️
In 2013, our Founder, Elizabeth Hedges, received a frantic call from Olivia's mom. Olivia had lost weight, was lethargic, vomiting yellow bile, and hadn't eaten in three days. At that time, Olivia's family was going through hard times and did not have the money for expensive diagnostic tests for their sweet furbaby.
Elizabeth stepped in and raised funds from donations to help with Olivia's medical bills. Olivia was diagnosed with fatty liver disease, and she needed urgent treatment and a change in diet. The good news is Olivia made a full recovery!
A few days ago, we received a message from Olivia's mom. Olivia crossed over the rainbow bridge peacefully on Monday. She lived a full and happy kitty cat life. Olivia was 16; she had gone blind and had some arthritis, but other than that, she was healthy.
The loss extremely saddens her family, but they wanted to thank the donors who helped give them ten more wonderful years with their sweet Olivia.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Olivia's family during this sad and difficult time.
RIP SWEET OLIVIA 2007-2023 🌈
