Maxβs story:
We helped Max with his urgent surgery in September; Max had severely injured his front left leg after a freakish accident. Max was zooming around the house, jumping on and off the couch, when suddenly he fell and landed awkwardly and broke two bones.
Max's surgery was estimated to be over $5000; his mom would have had to euthanize him due to the cost if we hadn't stepped in to help. We fundraised for Max; unfortunately, we fell short of the needed amount. Luckily, we had funds in the Emergency Fund to pay the remainder of the cost.
Max's surgery went well; the surgeon placed pins and a plate to hold his broken bones in place. It has been 6 weeks since Max's surgery, and he is doing amazing!
Max will need follow-up x-rays in 2 weeks. We will have more updates on Max soon!
The Emergency Fund is VITAL to our mission when we fall short in fundraising for a specific pet, like Max. Our goal to end 2023 is $50,000. If you are able, please consider making a donation today: https://on.ftloa.org/40nZYWF
