Our Mission
For The Love Of Alex Inc. provides emergency funding for life-saving veterinary care of low-income families.
Cheddar The Cat
We were contacted overnight about a precious Illinois kitty who was exhibiting signs of a urinary tract blockage. Due to the urgency of Cheddar's condition, we used funds from the Emergency Fund to get him the life-saving medical care he needed. The Emergency Fund is critical to our mission; the Emergency Fund steps in when we do not have time to fundraise for a pet that needs emergency life-saving veterinary care now!
Jordie The Cat
Jordie has suffered three back-to-back life-threatening urinary blockages due to a smaller-than-normal bladder. Jordie needs an expensive surgical procedure to enlarge his urethra to prevent another emergency surgery.
Gimpy The Cat
Gimpy, the Illinois kitty, has had a rough start to life; as a tiny kitten, she was attacked by a dog and hurt her back leg. Gimpy was rescued from that environment and immediately taken to a veterinarian. X-rays showed her leg had broken for quite some time.
Khloe The Dog
Little Khloeβs mom noticed blood in her stool; she took Khloe to her veterinarian, and upon examination, they discovered a Rectal Adenomatous Polyp. Khloe needs surgery to remove the polyp before it gets so big that she cannot go to the bathroom properly.
Marley The Dog
Marley, the tiny pup, is in so much pain from his severe periodontal disease that he has stopped eating. His elderly mom is on disability and cannot afford his surgery; she is so scared Marley will die from the infection in his mouth.
