UPDATE: This post was originally written in February, before the USA was hit hard with Covid-19. Since then, we've not only been behind on donations, but we've had an increase in applications due to job loss and family emergencies related to the pandemic. This year we are trying to stay afloat and help as many pets as possible. If you have room in your heart and any ability to donate, we need and appreciate you.

ORIGINAL POST: We are incredibly behind on donations this year. We've had to turn away cases we would normally take because the funds just aren't there.

I really can't say why that is. I suspect that a lot of people are donating to political candidates that they believe in, and there isn't enough money to do both. I also know that we are all struggling financially, and I would never ask anyone to donate more than they can afford. But right this minute, things feel very dire for our organization.
