TOASTY HAD A SLIGHT SETBACK! 😿

Toasty's surgery to remove a cancerous tumor growing on the back of his right wrist has been scheduled for September 24th however, over the weekend, Toasty developed a GI tract infection; he was vomiting and lethargic.

Due to his upcoming surgery, his veterinarian ran some bloodwork and X-rays. The bloodwork showed an elevation to one of the three liver values, ALP. However, this can be caused by nausea and vomiting.

Toasty was treated with a Cerenia injection for vomiting; given Subcutaneous fluids for dehydration and sent home with metronidazole for a GI infection. Toasty's liver enzymes will be rechecked before his surgery. The Emergency Fund helped with the cost of Toasty's medical care.
