Tiny baby kitten had a procedure done to try and save her eye. Corneal flap surgery helps the eye heal naturally, the 3rd eyelid is pulled up, and the eye is temporarily closed with a suture and a button to prevent the sutures from tearing through the eyelid. This procedure protects against further damage to the cornea and keeps the eye free from debris and sunlight.

It can take up to 8 weeks for the eye to completely heal. TBK is also being treated with antibiotics, pain, and inflammatory medications.
