Mango had surgery, but there were some complications. πΏ
Sweet Mango was scheduled for surgery to repair a diaphragmatic hernia. However, on Friday night, Mango's breathing became labored. She was rushed into surgery. The surgery took over 2 hours, and her temperature and blood pressure dropped significantly; they transported her to a 24/7 emergency clinic. We put down a deposit, and x-rays showed that one of her lungs had collapsed. A chest tube was inserted, and Mango was immediately put in an oxygen tank. π
Mango was stabilized over the weekend and she did eat and drink some water. Mango continuously improved each day. Mango perked up when Mom went to visit and she enjoyed all the head rubs. The veterinary staff took Mango off oxygen Sunday, and her lungs stayed inflated overnight. Mango was doing so well that they discharged her Monday afternoon! π
Mango's surgery and hospitalization cost $9,574.90! We have raised $4,948.28 so far, but we need help to pay off the balance. If you can help us, please help HERE.
