Jax had his 2nd round of steroid treatments to shrink a mass in his chest muscle wall. The tumor has shrunk significantly since his first treatment a month ago and his veterinarian is extremely happy with his progress.

Jax received his first treatment to shrink a mass in his chest cavity. Due to the location of the mass in the muscle wall, it is inoperable; however, in recent studies, a new treatment has shown an 80% success rate.

UPDATE ON JAX!

Jax was referred to a Specialist Veterinary Hospital for a CT scan to see the exact location of the tumor in his chest and to see if it had metastasized. Jax had the CT scan yesterday and the good news is the tumor is a fatty lipoma and has not spread to any major organs.

Jax’s surgery has been temporarily postponed 😿

Jax’s surgery was scheduled for July 26th; however, once his veterinarian opened Jax up, she discovered the tumor had grown significantly more prominent in just a few weeks. Jax’s surgeon was concerned that the tumor had metastasized into the muscle wall and would need a Specialist surgeon to remove it.
