Heartbreaking news 💔

It breaks our hearts when an owner whose beloved pet we are helping gets a devastating diagnosis. Magick was suffering from what appeared to be a stubborn upper respiratory infection; however, once we got him in for a thorough exam, his veterinarian suspected something was wrong with his mouth.

Magick was sedated so his veterinarian could get a better look, and he found a growth. A sample was sent to the laboratory for biopsy, and the results confirmed an aggressive form of oral cancer. Magick’s prognosis was poor; his health was declining rapidly; he was no longer eating, and bloodwork confirmed his organs were failing. 😿

Magick’s family made a heart-breaking but necessary decision to let Magick go. We helped with the arrangements, and Magick peacefully passed over the rainbow bridge. 🌈

Though this is not the happy ending we were expecting, Magick’s family got the answers they needed, and he did not suffer until the end. Our thoughts and prayers are with Magick’s family at this time.
