ONE YEAR AGO, ROCKET'S LIFE WAS SAVED! 🚀

Rocket is the most resilient kitty we have ever helped. Rocket had snuck outside, and when he returned home, he sustained multiple injuries to his front and back legs. His injuries were so severe that euthanasia was suggested, but something in our hearts told us to give Rocket a second chance at life!

Rocket's front leg ankle was severely dislocated and needed amputation, and the wound in his back leg developed a severe infection, which took weeks to heal completely. However, after the infection and swelling resolved, x-rays showed that his back leg had damage to the ligaments and needed a surgical procedure to fuse the joint. 🙀

We consulted with three veterinary hospitals and had a heart-to-heart with Mom regarding quality of life. However, the surgeons agreed that with Rocket's demeanor and resilience, and his mom's absolute devotion to his round-the-clock care, he could have a good, long life if he had the surgeries.

Miraculously, Rocket made a full recovery however, a few months later one of the pins in his back leg migrated and poked through his skin. Rocket had another procedure to trim back one pin and remove the other. Again, Rocket pulled through like a champ! 🏆
