Luna has a long road ahead.
Luna had lost a lot of weight, she went from 98lb to 57lb in just a few months. Her veterinarian suspected an autoimmune disease where her body is not absorbing protein properly. Luna had invasive surgery to biopsy her intestines and at that time she was spayed. Luna's recovery has been difficult, she is still not eating properly and losing weight, she has very watery stools and her incision area is red and inflamed. Her veterinarian prescribed an anti-nausea medication, an appetite stimulant, probiotics, and a stronger antibiotic. We will know more once the results of her biopsy come back.
