LITTLE MAX SUFFERED A MINOR POST-OP COMPLICATION! 😿

Max, the tiny Pennsylvania pup, had surgery to repair a transverse fracture in his right front leg. Max had a check-up and bandage change last week. Unfortunately, the splint to hold his bones in place rubbed his tiny little leg raw.

The splint was removed to allow his wounds to heal. Ideally, he needs to wear the splint for four weeks, but his veterinarian had no other choice due to the infection. Max will have a check-up later this week. We will have an update on Max soon!

Thank you to everyone who helped with Max's surgery; due to the severity of the break he needed a Specialist Orthopedic surgeon to perform the procedure. The total cost for Max's surgery was $5,429.87, which did not include his follow-up x-rays in 4 weeks and again in 8 weeks.

We used funds from the Emergency Fund to cover the rest of Max’s surgery cost.
