Wheezy the Dog Success Story

Wheezy needed emergency surgery after accidentally swallowing part of a tennis ball. What a terrible accident that happened so quickly and unexpectedly!

Wheezy was a puppy, who came into his family after a neighbor’s dog had an unplanned litter of puppies. His family is hard-working and has a proven history of responsible and proactive veterinary care for their pets. As a low-income family, they simply did not have the funds for this unforeseen crisis.

Wheezy’s mom said:

β€œFrom day one, Wheezy has been such a bright and shining light in my life. I wasn’t even looking for a pet the day this puppy with huge floppy ears walked over to my feet, sat down, and looked up at me with his bright blue eyes. It was a done dealβ€”my heart was already his! Wheezy picked me, I didn’t pick him or even his name, but we were a perfect fit from the start! The rest of the family is also just crazy about him!”

With help from generous donors like you, Wheezy did receive the life-saving surgery he needed. A year later, he is happy and healthy and cracking up friends and family with his silly personality.

Here is a review from Wheezy's mom on GreatNonprofits

"One year ago today we almost lost our sweet puppy.....Wheezy was 8 months old and had a blockage in his intestinal track!! He would have died without surgery... But thanks to For the Love of Alex and all the generous donors of this amazing charity Wheezy was able to get that life saving surgery and we are able to love, spoil, and celebrate him ... every single day!!! There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t thank God for this amazing charity and all the people who make it possible!!! THANK YOU."

You, the amazing Angel-Donors to For The Love Of Alex, have saved Wheezy from certain death. Thank you.
