You may have noticed that our posts are saying that we prefer donations through our website. We are definitely still accepting donations through Facebook, but the benefits of making your donation through are website are:

💙 When you donate through our website we can thank you properly, send end of year donation receipts, and identify which state you live in for important tax filing on our part. Facebook doesn't give us contact information for donors.

🧡 For The Love Of Alex maintains control over funds donated through our website, so we can easily help with returning accidental donations. (You'd be surprised how often people accidentally type 100, when they meant 10!) Through Facebook, we have to refer you to a Facebook form for that.

 💛 For The Love Of Alex has access to funds donated through our website to use for veterinary bills much faster than we receive them through Facebook.

💚 If Facebook ever goes down, you can still access our website.
