Burrito Kitty Living His Best Life😻

This is a direct quote from Burrito Kitty's owner on Great Nonprofits.

"An orange kitty started showing up at our house one morning and never left. I'd feed him, loved him, and let him be on his merry way; but one morning the kitty was still on my porch from the night before and didn't come to greet me with his usual chirps and purrs. As a matter of fact, he couldn't even lift his head and seemed lifeless.

I rushed him to the vet's office to find out he had a urinary blockage and his kidneys were shutting down. The kitty was going into a coma, and without immediate treatment, he wouldn't make it through the night. I had grown very attached to this orange kitty over the months. More so than even I had realized, because when the first vet bill of over $1000 was given, I didn't even blink an eye. I wanted this kitty to live, and I'd do whatever it took.

The orange kitty -that had melted my heart- did make it through the night, but he was on several medications and had to be monitored hourly which meant he lived at the vet for almost two weeks. The bills became overwhelming, and I was at the point where I could no longer afford for his care.

Devastated and desperate, I tried every avenue I could think of with little to no help. That is until I found For The Love Of Alex.

They contacted me soon after my application was sent and actually LISTENED to this stray's story. They had compassion and care, as well as the resources and funding to keep this kitty alive.

For The Love of Alex helped continue with his care long after expected. They checked in on him and myself to see how we were doing. They did research about his issues and came up with alternative ideas when what we were doing wasn't working. They found a specialist when our vet no longer had answers. They found precious time when everyone else was too busy to listen.

I could go on and on about For The Love of Alex, but at the end of the day, I really can't even begin to put into words what this organization has done and means to me. I mean, how do you review how much a life means to you and the people that chose to help that life go on? All I know is, because of For The Love Of Alex, my Burrito Kitty, formerly known as the orange stray, got a second chance at life and a family to call his furever home. For that, I am forever grateful."‍
