Gimpy had surgery earlier this week to amputate her leg, which had been broken months ago and did not heal properly. Gimpy's veterinarian said the only humane option was to remove the leg.
The surgery went extremely well, and Gimpy was also spayed. Gimpy's mom said, "She is moving so well, and we got her some pet stairs to get up onto the couch. She's been super loveable! Gimpy's also using the bathroom without issue, which is great, and she's got a very good appetite. Her personality is coming back STRONG, and her incisions are healing nicely so far."
Gimpy will have a check-up appointment and suture removal in 10 days.
