Smokey received the medical care he desperately needed 💕

Adorable Smokey was constipated and had an abscess or ruptured anal gland. We raised funds for an exam, and his veterinarian confirmed that his anal gland had ruptured. His other gland was very full and was expressed. His veterinarian clipped and cleaned the area, then flushed and treated the wound.

Smokey was sent home with antibiotics, pain medication, and a probiotic to help with his digestive issues. Smokey had some diagnostic testing to see what was causing his constipation, and we will have the results back in a few days.

Smokey has a check-up appointment this week. We will have more updates on Smokey soon!
