Mitzi had surgery and is recovering at home. 💙

Mitzi had Perineal Urethrotomy (PU) Surgery, a procedure designed to widen his urethra. The surgery went well, and Mitzi is recovering at home. He is confined to a crate for ten days to prevent him from over-exerting and ripping out his sutures. His mom said he is eating, drinking, and urinating well but is not appreciative of his cone of shame or the crate.😿

To ease his stress and boredom, Mitzi's mom placed a small television playing Animal Planet videos close to Mitzi’s cage to keep him occupied when she is away from home. Mitzi will have the sutures removed and a recheck ten days post-op. We will have more updates on Mitzi soon!

We fell short on fundraising for the total cost of Mitzi’s surgery, and time was of the essence, so we used funds from the Emergency Fund to cover the deficit.
