Maya had emergency surgery and is doing well! 💕

We couldn't bear to see this sweet little kitten in pain; we were able to put down a good-faith deposit for surgery with a veterinary hospital that we have partnered with before and know that we will cover the rest of the bill. Maya had surgery on Wednesday; she did really well post-op and went home the next day. 

Maya's family said she is not liking her cone of shame but is eating and drinking normally. Maya is a spunky little kitten, so she is confined to a crate to allow her hip to heal. She is being treated with pain & anti-inflammatory medications and antibiotics. 

Maya has a long road to recovery, but she is getting the best care possible and is very much a beloved member of her family. Thank you to everyone who helped with her surgery cost. We will have more updates on Maya soon!
