Lucky, the Connecticut kitty needed Total Ear Canal Ablation and Bulla Osteotomy surgery to remove a painful ear canal tumor to ensure it would never grow back. The surgery would be very invasive and very expensive. The nearest Specialist Surgeon was located in New York!
