Story

Poor boy Pete, a 14-year-old senior kitty, is struggling. He has an abscessed tooth that is affecting his eating habits, causing weight loss, and preventing proper grooming. Pete’s cheek is swollen due to the infected tooth, and he’s not the same cuddle bug he once was.

Pete has been very healthy his whole life until now. Pete’s mom took him in as a kitten; her neighbors were losing their house and could not keep Pete. Pete immediately fit right into his furever home. He befriended Queenie, his mom’s beloved Labrador, and they were buddies until Queenie passed over the rainbow bridge last year. 🌈

Pete needs a thorough dental cleaning and at least one tooth extracted; however, his veterinarian referred Pete to an advanced dental care veterinary hospital due to his age. The estimate for Pete’s surgery, including pre-surgical bloodwork and x-rays, is between $1,189.27 and $1,576.68, depending on how many teeth are extracted.

Pete’s mom is low-income. She lives on meager government assistance. After her father passed away a few years ago, she moved in to take care of her elderly mother; she can’t afford Pete’s surgery cost.

Pete’s quality of life will drastically improve if he gets this dental surgery. Can you please help this sweet senior kitty have a few more good years with his mom?
