WE HAVE SOME HEARTBREAKING NEWS πŸ’”

Pete was a senior kitty we helped last year with his dental surgery. Pete was struggling; he had a painful abscessed tooth that was affecting his eating habits, causing him to lose weight, and prevented him from grooming correctly.

We helped with the cost of Pete's much-needed surgery and a groom. However, once his surgeon had Pete sedated, he found a tumor on the roof of his mouth. His surgeon removed the abscessed tooth and sent a sample of the tumor to be tested.

After the dental surgery, Pete seemed to bounce back; his mom said he was eating so well, had energy again, playing with his brother Moe and the two of them prowling at night, and was very vocal.

Sadly, the biopsy confirmed cancer; unfortunately, oral cancer is usually aggressive, and Pete's prognosis was poor; he was given 3 months.😿

Pete enjoyed the last few months of life (1-2 years in cat years), and once he started to decline, his mom contacted us for help with the arrangements.

Pete passed peacefully over the rainbow bridge with his mom by his side.🌈

RIP, Sweet Pete 2010-2024. You will have a furrever place in our hearts.
