FORTUNE'S STORY IS TRULY HEARTBREAKING π, but knowing he has found a loving home after such a difficult start in life is heartwarming. Fortune was rescued from an unsafe household; he had been severely neglected, and due to lack of proper nutrition, he developed a painful oral disease.
Fortune was diagnosed with Stomatitis, which affects his ability to eat and drink properly; he drools constantly from the inflammation in his gums and has painful mouth ulcers. He is unable to groom himself properly. This poor boy is in bad shape and just needs a little help.
Fortune's veterinarian recommends removing all his teeth, which may sound drastic, but it will alleviate his pain and improve his overall health. Fortune's mom is elderly and lives on a measly government income. She cannot afford his surgery, which has been estimated at $1738.20.
