Story

Sweet Sophie, the Upstate New York kitty, has a painful ear hematoma caused by recurring ear infections. The hematoma has been drained; however, it keeps coming back. Sophie needs Aural surgery to ensure the hematoma never returns.

Sophie’s veterinarian is concerned that the hematoma has grown so large that it could rupture. The surgery entails making a small surgical incision in the ear flap to drain the blood pocket. Once cleared, her veterinarian will use tiny sutures to close the pocket and prevent blood or infection from building up again.

Sophie’s mom is low-income and has been going through some hard times; she cannot afford Sophie’s surgery. Sophie hides under her mom’s bed and only comes out for her food and to use the litter box. Seeing her sweet orange furbaby in pain breaks her mom’s heart.

The surgery has been estimated at $2,430.00. We helped with the pre-surgical bloodwork and ear mite treatment last week, and Sophie has been cleared for surgery. Please help this sweet furbaby get the medical care she needs to live a pain-free and good quality of life.

Please GIVE today to help sweet Sophie.
